The Truth about the Treasures, How to Interpret a Prophecy

The Prophet Muhammad warned his nation of events that would take place especially in the end times. These warnings come to us as snippets or snapshots of conversations that the Prophet had with his companions. These are commonly referred to as Hadith (sayings). Satan and his Antichrist waste no effort in deceiving the masses concerning the true interpretations of these hadiths.

Even if they know the hadith word for word and inside out, If any Muslim doesn’t believe that they could be right in the middle of a prophesied event without even realizing it, then he/she is being arrogant. Allah has warned us in the Quran that Satan is our enemy. So we really should start using these ayat in a practical way. To understand them and apply them in our life.

35:6 – Satan is indeed your enemy, so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his confederates so that they may be among the inmates of the Blaze.

17:053 – Tell My servants to speak in a manner which is the best. Indeed Satan incites ill feeling between them, and Satan is indeed man’s manifest enemy.

What we hope to show in this short writing is that there is a high likely hood that a famous hadith of the Prophet Muhammad has been misinterpreted. The hadith in question is the following:

To be more precise it is not the whole hadith that is in question but rather the phrase جبل من ذهب (mountain of gold). This phrase appears in many different hadiths and Muslims always interpret it as actually finding a mountain of gold. So the long awaited Mahdi will come and go and the Muslims will still be waiting for the Euphrates river to uncover a mountain of gold, and in some narrations a mountain of gold and silver.

Take this hadith for example:

Three will fight for your treasure, all of them a son of a khalifa, then it goes to one of them, then the black flags will come from the direction of the east and they will kill you in a way that you have never been killed before. Then he mentioned something – so when you see him, give him bayaa even if you have to crawl through the ice and snow to get to him, for certainly he is the khalifa of Allah the Mahdi.

The phrases that have been highlighted in yellow are “three will fight for you treasure”, and “the Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold”. These have been interpreted to mean anything except OIL! Some tafseers (Exegesis) have even said that the treasure spoken of here is the mountain of gold uncovered by the Euphrates. Why? Is it really that strange to except- princes fighting for oil, nations fighting for oil? Is not the treasure of the Ummah the oil revenues? What region on the planet is more known for having oil than the middle east? How many times have we heard the phrase “black gold” Sure, most of the revenues are used against the Muslims by the treacherous Saudi leaders but the point still stands, the oil is the treasure of the Muslim Nation (Ummah).

Isn’t it a fact that there are at least 3 sons of kings or presidents (khalifas) fighting in the middles east right now for oil or energy? Namely, Muhammad bin Salman, Bashar al Assad, and Qatar. Let’s not forget the king of Jordan who has a role to play as well in this game. Whether it is actually these three or four or another set is not the scope of this article but what is important here is what they are fighting over. Oil, treasure, money! Let’s take a look at this narration:

From the Messenger of Allah: the fourth fitna will last for 18 years, it makes its rounds and the Euphrates river will uncover a mountain of gold. My ummah will pounce on it and every seven out of nine will die.

The highlighted sentence says that after this mountain is discovered seven out of nine will die for it. Is it that much of a stretch to say that this is exactly what has happened with the oil in Iraq? If you have a problem with the phrase “mountain of gold” then let’s try this other narration:

(From Nuaym Bin Hammad’s Kitan al-Fetn)

So this narrations says that the Euphrates will uncover a treasure not a mountain of gold. Now this is starting to make more sense. We have gone from a mountain of gold to just a treasure. But most Muslims say that a mountain of gold is treasure, well yeah but so is a mountain full of oil. And besides, when in history has there ever been found a mountain of gold or silver, I mean such a thing doesn’t even happen. Where is our jealousy for the Prophet, don’t we want him to be right? Why do Christians and Jews bend over backwards to prove their vague and obscure prophesies true but we Muslims bend over backwards to make them false.

So what else is this treasure called? Let’s take a look at yet another hadith:

(From al-Fetn – 850)

Here we see the highlighted phrase “and there be a huge gathering on the side of the Euphrates, they will kill for the riches or wealth, and out of every nine, seven will die.” We see the same idea that out of every nine seven will die, but instead of mountain of gold or treasure we see riches or wealth. In our time it is easy to see that oil brings wealth and riches.

So now we have come to the point where we see three ways of explaining the same thing.

Fine, a mountain of gold can be a treasure and a treasure can be a mountain of gold, and all of these can be considered wealth. Three ways of explaining the same thing so there is no contradiction just yet, but does the gold come in cylinders? Does the earth vomit the gold out of the ground? Well, that is what this following narration is saying:

The earth will vomit pieces of her liver in shapes of cylinders from gold and silver. So the killer will come to it and wonder “is this what I have killed for” and then the one who cuts off family ties will come to it and wonder “is this what I have cut family ties for” , and the thief will wonder “is this what my hands have been cut off for “ ..then not of them will receive it.

So here we actually have the earth vomiting something out, into shapes of cylinders. The earth’s liver (and livers are black by the way) is vomiting out something in cylinders – or more practically it is put in cylinders. What is oil transported in? Yes, in cylinders or barrels if you like. The Arabic word الأسطوان (istawaan) is cylinder in English. We don’t think its necessary to show of picture this, the imagery is pretty clear, we all know that oil not gold is stored and transported in cylinders. When you check the price of oil on the market the price is given in dollars per what? Yes, that’s right, it’s given in dollars per barrel.

True, the hadith mentions gold and silver but it stands to reason that it can’t be vomited or be put in cylinders and yet be gold and silver at the same time. Just stand back and look at the hadith in its totality. The killers are wondering “is this what I have killed for”. Now its easy to see someone 1400 years ago wondering why you would kill for black, sloppy, stinky tar slurping out of the ground in abundance, but even back then they would know exactly why someone would kill for gold. That has been in style for a long time.

So we have four different ways of explaining the same thing. One: mountain of gold. Two: treasure. Three: wealth. And finally four: the earth vomiting pieces of her liver and then being put into cylinders.

Now these narrations say to keep away from it, so sorry ISIS bad news for you. I’m sure most of us are familiar with all the truck loads of oil that were sent to Turkey by the aid of ISIS/DAESH and other terrorist groups in the region. This is precisely the thing that the Ummah was warned of 1400 years ago, but this is really not the main idea of the article. The main point is that the Mahdi will heal the world with this treasure, so that is why you are supposed to stay away from it until he gets here. Sadly, the Muslims are too busy looking for a mountains of gold, or would you prefer some leprechauns to busy your self with before the Mahdi?

Allah and his Messenger know best but we believe the “mountain of gold” and the “treasure of the ummah” is really the black gold, oil.
