Major Signs of the Hour

Know the following; the end of our age, the final earthly age of humanity, will be accompanied by certain tells and signs. How is this relevant to you? By understanding these signs you can better help yourself, and those you love, navigate the difficult waters of our age. Prophetic literature mentions many of these portents, but those which interest us are ten. Neither eleven, nor twenty, but rather ten. These Ten are the Major signs, while numerous minor signs may support them. Once witnessed others will follow with rapidity as Allah’s decree passes upon us.

“Signs are like beads fastened together by a thread. Once the thread is cut, they fall one after another.” (source, Ahmad)

وأيهما كانت قبل صاحبتها فالأخرى على إثرها قريبًا

“Whatever of them occurs first, it will be soon followed by the other.” (source, Muslim)

الآيات خرزات منظومات في سلك فإن يقطع السلك يتبع بعضها بعضًا

Since your entire life, many such teachings have been hidden or their significance obscured from you. It is your birthright, nay duty, to earn the right to the truth. This kind of material, once properly understood, can transform you. but it requires a personal commitment. Concerning such signs, many of which you have been lied to about your whole life, they were forecast by the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him and all of the Prophets, and are more detailed and straight forward than the cryptic dajjalic mumblings of Nostradamus.Unlike the Bible, many of these signs are astonishing prescient. In particular with the increase of modern knowledge. Many Prophetic traditions remain in obscure books, waiting to be seen by the larger world. Some have become totally inaccessible, in books now lost in time, such as those destroyed during the Mongol invasions, or more recently by the French Spanish and British Colonialists, or in the many invasions of the Middle East, the slaughters by people like Timur and other petty tyrants who have shed blood of Muslims and destroyed their libraries and books through the ages. How many tens of thousands of books were lost when the Catholics committed genocide on the Muslims of Spain and Sicily?

A few, however, remain widely available. Part of our project is dedicated to translating more into English to make them available for non Arabic readers, including many simply ignored by religious scholars who simply didn’t the full context to put them into context, having lived in ages before the appearance of some of these signs and thus not having a frame of reference..

But how does this pertain to you, at home, reading this? We let you be the judge of the relevance of this material to you. As we see it, such knowledge concerns your life, your soul, and your ultimate end. You cannot afford to treat it casually.

We mentioned two groups of signs, the minor and the major, of which there are ten.

The Major signs:

These are ten major and spectacular events prophesied to take place before the final hour according to the narration from the Prophet, peace and blessings upon him, that: “The final hour will not arrive until you have seen ten signs…”

This narration then mentions ten signs in turn, including the appearance of a massive Smoke, the open appearance of the Dajjal – the great deceiver our site is dedicated to unmasking, he is the false messiah, the appearance of a great Beast from the earth, the rising of the Sun from its place of setting, the Descent of the Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), the invasion of the peoples of Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog), Three great Subsidences, e.g. landslides or sinkings, followed by a massive Fire that would spread through the world from Yemen and drive the world’s people to their final place of gathering.

Narrations to this effect include these two from Sahih Muslim:

Hudhaifa bin Usayd al-Ghifari reported: Allah’s Messenger, Peace and Blessings upon him, came to us all of a sudden as we were (discussing). He said, What do you discuss about? They said. We are discussing about the Hour. Thereupon he said, It will not cone until you see ten signs before and he made a mention of the Smoke, Dajjal, the Beast, the rising of the Sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, Peace be upon him, Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog), and land subsidences in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly.

Hudhaifa bin Usayd al-Ghifari reported: Allah’s Messenger(may peace be upon him) was in an apartment and we were beneath that that he peeped in and said to us: What are you discussing about? We said the Hour. Thereupon he said, The Hour would not come until the ten signs appear. A land subsidence in the east, and land subsidence in the west, and land subsidence in the peninsula of Arabia, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast of the earth, Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog), the rising of the sun from the west, and the fire which would emit from the lower part of ‘Adan.
Shu’ba said that ‘Abd al-‘Aziz b. Rufai’ reported on the authority of Abu Tufail who reported on the authority of Abu Sariha a hadith like this that Allah’s Messenger, Peace and Blessings upon him, did not make a mention of (the tenth) but he said that out of the ten one was the descent of Jesus Christ, son of Mary (peace be upon him), and in another version it is the lowing of the violent gale which would drive the people to the ocean.

This narration is from Abu Dawud:

Hudhaifah bin Usayd al-Ghifari said: “We were sitting in the shade of the chamber of the Prophet, Peace and blessings be upon him, discussing, and he said, what are you discussing? They said, we are talking about the Hour. He, Peace and Blessings upon him, said: The Last Hour will not come until there appear ten signs before it: the Smoke, the appearance of al-Dajjal, the Beast, the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the coming forth of the descent of Jesus son of Maryam, Peace be upon him, the appearance of Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog), and the three subsidences, and at the end a fire will issue forth from the Yemen and drive the people to their place of assembly.
